The Money Is In Your List – Tips For Using Autoresponders
When I started out in affiliate marketing, I not knowing where or how to start, took advantage of the free website given with the Plug In Profit Site and the inbuilt 30 day tutorial. As I progressed, I frequented forums such as the Warrior Forum for help and advice. Many times during my visit to these forums I would see the quote “The Money Is In Your List“. Many of the posts related to this quote, stressed how important it is to build a list of subscribers. My website already had a “free sign up to my newsletter” lead capure form and a series of around 400 pre written newsletters, so I felt quite confident I was going to be making money from my list as I built up my subscriber base.
As time went by, my list was growing all the time and yes, I was getting “sign ups” from my list, but I realized that I was missing out on an opportunity. You see, I promote other opportunities besides the Plug In Profit Site and as the autoresponder series of letters was tailored to the Plug In Profit Site, my subscribers knew nothing of my other opportunities. I decided to add a few letters of my own, intigrating them into the series I had been given with my free website. Some of the letters just offered a “freebie” an ebook or report, whilst others had information and links to my other opportunities.
Improve Your Sales with Your Own Auto Responder Improvements
Improve your marketing and sales. Try some of these:
- 1. Publish free reports to send via your auto responder. The reports should be related to your business or web site & contain info, ads and links to your sites. People love getting freebies.
- 2. Collect vital customer satisfaction information by publishing a survey to send via auto responder to those who sign up on your site in exchange for a free eBook, software or trial period at your membership site. This type of information will help you understand their needs, likes & dislikes better.
- 3. Instead of answering each customer question that is e-mailed to you, publish “Frequently Ask Questions” and make them available via auto responder to those who sign up.
Mix and match. Change your autoresponder strategy periodically to change your autoresponder results!

Stumble it!

I remember when I first started with SFI, I said there was no way I would use such an insensitive tool. I was going to let people know I was going to personally write every e-mail that went out. NOT! Was I ever wrong. Can’t imagine working without an auto-responder.
Thanks for the post Graham
