Is Search Engine Optimization Techniques Driving You Up The Wall In The Coming Years
I have searched online for a while now hunting for the latest search engine optimization(SEO) tips across the internet. But who truely understands what they are? I mean it is not likely that the owners of the search engines are going to tell us. If they were to then it would become useless with so many websites made exactly the same trying to get that page one spot. So which instructions are you going to follow when you do get some help? which ever gets you to the top and does not get you penalized by search engines.
We all have been told everything under the sun about SEO. Tactics like making your keywords stand out is suppose to help but how much. Doing this by itself will not have you racing to the top. I see people doing things like creating links from their keywords to websites like Wikipedia but that is good for them and bad for you. This is one of the reasons why that site can mostly be found on the top of results of most keyword results. How about keyword density. Some say less than 10% of text should contain your keywords and some say more. Sure, you can not just type in your keywords 50 times in your pages but how much is too much?
Then there are those SEO tips that suggest that you should have your keywords as your domanin name. It seems to work for some sites but there are lots of websites that can get listed above them without the keyword being seen what so ever. So it can’t be that simple. There most be more to it than that.
Search Engines still look at your meta tags title and descriptions. Or you can have the search bots decide what to display. Frankly I use the meta tags because my results are better. For those who do not then be sure to put what you want to be on page one on in the first view sentences of content to make it simple for the search bots to learn what your site is about.
Oh, and don’t forget about all those sneaky tactics for optimization some webmasters try to get away with. You know like placing a page with tiny words packed with keyword phrases or cramming a bunch keywords in alternative text in pictures. That stuff only work for a specific time and then you get dropped to like page ninty or what ever. If I were you I would avoid any of those tricks.
The best way to go is using fresh unique content with free backlinks from reliable sites are still the best way to go. Freshening up your pages from time to time will keep the bots coming back. One way links will tell them how admired your site is. But your links should come from more than one source. Make sure to shake it up a bit with quality links from forums, review sites, videos, blogs, article directories and ect. There are other things that can be done but those are two of top seo tactics out there.
Well I can go on forever about what webmaster think they know about optimization but there is no need to. Just look for what works and when it is successful then replicate it for all of your sites and pages. With a little trial and error you could see yourself on top in a few weeks or so.
